Sebastian County Conservation District
Our Story

Rooted in Sebastian County Since 1945

We are your neighbors — farmers, landowners, and conservationists who believe that protecting this land is not optional. It's a responsibility we carry together.

Our Mission

Why We Exist

The Sebastian County Conservation District exists to help landowners, farmers, and community members protect and improve the natural resources of Sebastian County — our soil, water, air, plants, and wildlife. We provide technical assistance, educational resources, and community programs that make conservation practical and achievable for everyone.

1

Stewardship

We treat every acre of Sebastian County as a trust — something borrowed from future generations that we are obligated to return in better condition than we found it.

2

Community

Conservation works when neighbors work together. We build relationships across the county — with farmers, schools, cities, and families — because the land connects us all.

3

Science

Our recommendations are grounded in the best available research and field-tested practices. We combine scientific rigor with practical, on-the-ground experience.

4

Action

Knowledge without action changes nothing. We exist to move people from awareness to implementation — giving every landowner the tools to make a real difference.
